It’s not difficult anymore to imagine how floods, wildfires, famine, economic volatility, pandemics, mass displacements caused by famine and conflicts will affect us. My name is Daniël and in 2020 I’ve become the father of a baby boy. This one moment in time made me strongly aware of the massive responsibility we have towards our future.  



WHY IS NOTHING HAPPENING


Why is so little happening? We seem to be unanimous in the acknowledgement that climate change is real and irreversible. But society seems paralyzed and in denial and not willing to do what is necessary. Perhaps we can break through that paralysis by accepting that the world is going to drastically change and start adapting to that change. If we can’t stop climate change, what can we do to prepare ourselves? 









ACCEPT AND PREPARE


There is an opportunity to be ahead of the curve and to develop strategies and tactics that allow us to survive in a 3 degrees global warming. What shifts do we need to make in terms of food, shelter, care, etc? We need to envision  how life will look like and can look like. We can learn together and act together for a more survivable world.
